Music Lessons with Mountain Streams Music 

Jon and Jane have taught music lessons many years.  Some of their students have gone on to be leaders in the Arts fields, joined or created their own bands, have won competitions, decided to pursue complete music and music therapy careers, become better informed choir members while others have simply enriched their lives with the love of playing an instrument or singing with more confidence and joy.

We often perform in multi-instrument recitals as well as all-harp/voice/bagpipes recitals

45 minute sessions are $50.00 per lesson or $45.00 when paying for more than one lesson.

We offer...

1. Celtic Harp: You must have access to a harp... for your personal practice.
2. Voice lessons: You must be able to read words and as best you can, read one line of music.
3. Highland Bagpipe:  You must have access to a chanter
4. Lowland Bagpipe:  You must have access to a chanter
5. Beginner Hammered Dulcimer:  You must have access to a hammered dulcimer
6. Beginner Guitar:  You must have access to a guitar
7. Beginner Piano:  you must have access to a piano

The success you gain as a "private" lesson taker is

up-to-you and the initiative that you bring to the lesson. 

We sometimes have a student concert

or even a shared concert with students, teachers and musical friends.

General rules: 

1.  Lessons are 45 minutes to (max one hour) and so, it is important that you arrive on time.  I have a margin of 15 to 20 minutes that I will wait oweing to living in the mountains and distance from some students, but I will charge you for a lesson if you do not show up (because of setting the time aside for you and not having time to re-schedule).    Of course, real emergenices are not possible to plan and will not require payment.

2.   If you need to reschedule a lesson, 24 hr notice should be given by calling directly. Payment for the scheduled lesson will be required if I don't hear from you at least 24 hours in advance.

Three Lessons $135.00  -  a good start. Remember  that Lessons are $45.00 when paying for more than one.  This makes a good momentum for real learning! Please call to discuss pariticular instrument and schedule
